Maxime Old Auction : Lutrin-Ecritoire 1472

Version française de cet article Outstanding Maxime Old AuctionMarch 2013, a Maxime Old auction took place in Tajan Paris, two outstanding pieces of modern art furniture.

Maxime Old Auction : Armchair 376This Maxime Old auction proposed

First two rare items of the 376 armchair designed in 1953 for the Marhaba Hotel in Casablanca.

The protype, formerly exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs, was later set in Maxime office, showing he was really satisfied with it. The line is light with seat and back detached from the framework. The armrests made of leather straps are very elegant and remain comfortable.

The other creation is an exercise in style Maxime liked. It is a lady lectern (reading-writing stand).

“As a minimalist piece it focuses on pure elegance and sublimates the Lady’s one. It must be offered to her as a token of love! It is a jewel and a confidant Madam enjoys at all times, wearing a suit at lunch time, an evening dress…. in the evening and in a negligee at night…

She paints? She will use it as an easel to “criticise†her last work.â€
